2.77(a) understand that homeostasis is the maintenance of a constant internal environmental and that body of water content and the body temperature are both examples of homeostasis

HOMEOSTASIS
homeo --> staying the same
stasis --> fixed point/condition
homeostasis --> conditions which are kept the same/constant

HOMEOTHERMIC
homeo --> staying the same
thermic --> temperature
homeothermic --> maintaining the same temperature

An example of homeostasis/homeothermic is the process of thermoregulation in which organisms such as mammals use to maintain a constant body temperature even when the temperature in their environment change, differing from other animals which body temperatures vary depending on their environment.

Mammals maintain a constant body temperature because at a certain temperature (optimum temperature) the enzymes within its body works best.
